Effects of housing systems on behavioural assessment, bone morphometry and faecal egg counts of broiler chickens

Animals that are well-managed thrive and produce better than those kept under conditions which do not take full consideration of their behavioural welfare needs. This experiment was conducted with one hundred eighty unsexed day-old Marshall Arbor Acre breeds broiler chickens to investigate the effects housing systems on assessment, bone morphometry faecal egg counts. The birds were brooded for three weeks acclimatized week in respective systems. Each (deep litter outdoor run) allotted 90 45 chicks per breed replicates 15 each after balancing body weights. fed same quality quantity feed water ad libitum throughout period lasted four weeks. Data collected observations, samples analyzed determine helminthes gram. arranged a 2 x factorial layout completely randomized design. results assessment showed two expressed more (p<0.05) natural instincts run compared counterparts deep system. Irrespective breeds, reared had higher strength (14.61N/mm2) (10.68N/mm 2). Also, result counts incidence intestinal managed run. It concluded could be adopted enhance expression behaviours, reduced chickens.
